The Conference is an opportunity to network with members of other branches throughout New South Wales and share ideas.
The Moruya auxiliary was represented by secretary Kath Smith and president Julie Corkin.
Business Day included speaker Prof Brad Frankum and also debate on resolutions.
Presentation Day speaker was Head of Emergency at St Vincents Hospital, Prof Gordian Fulde, and attendance of our Patron Mrs Linda Hurley, wife of his Excellency the Honourable David Hurley Governor of NSW to present Life Memberships.
Our State Treasurer announced in her 2017-2018 financial report that the auxiliaries, through our 190 branches and 5419 members had raised $6,109,068.70 and gifted $5,140,657.24 for the comfort and care of patients in hospitals, MPS and Community Health throughout NSW.
Members were congratulated on the total hours volunteered, 970,952, which equates to 532 fulltime employees. Our South Eastern Region (9 branches) gifted $359,268.06. What a result in such hard times for our country branches.
Moruya District Hospital Auxiliary was presented with a Merit Award Certificate for raising over $100,000 net. Auxiliaries throughout NSW could not achieve these wonderful results without our communities and w thank them for their continual support.
