Directed by Belinda Quick, the production has a cast of over 25 local young actors, and is a magical tale of adventure and friendship, which will be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.
Every good fairytale needs a villain. In The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, the antagonist comes in the form of "Her Imperial Majesty Jadis, Queen of Narnia" or more commonly referred to through the story as The White Witch.
She has been delivered this title, the White Witch, after casting the spell that froze Narnia into an endless winter for a hundred years.
She rules an army of horrible and terrifying creatures, including wolves, ghouls and giants, and can turn people to stone at the flick of her magic wand.
A Bay Theatre Players regular, last seen in the 2018 production of Guys and Dolls and 2019's Dags, Lilly Marion plays the Witch Witch, powerful and imposing, but also very beautiful and entrancing.
As the story continues, the White Witch convinces one of the children to try her Turkish Delight, which of course is enchanted and leaves him desperate for more.
Her trickery leads him to betray his friends and family and leaves everyone in serious danger.
Will the children escape from the evil White Witch, or will Narnia be trapped in winter forever?

Front of House Volunteers
Bay Theatre Players is an organisation run completely by volunteers, and our local theatre thrives and delivers high quality productions because of the varied skills and experience that all our volunteers bring.
A great introduction to the theatre is volunteering for Front of House, which involves attending shows to assist patrons, organise refreshments and is a very social and fun experience.
The theatre is always looking for more Front of House volunteers.
If you are interested, please see the website - www.baytheatreplayers.org.au or contact Viv Wheatley, Front of House Manager.
