NSW Police initiated a land-based search yesterday afternoon, October 31, after it was reported the teenager was missing on a quad bike.
"She was riding with her brother, they became separated and her bike had broken down," Moruya SES spokesman Chris Zammit said.
"She became lost on foot."
Mr Zammit said NSW Police searched last night with no success. The Rural Fire Service and SES crews commenced a land search at 7am this morning.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Lifesaver 23 was also called to assist.
Mr Zammit said crews searched in bush scrub and along high powered transmission lines before finding her near a gully.
"One of the SES crews found her down the edge of a gully," Mr Zammit said.
"They yelled out and she replied - they then retrieved her."
Mr Zammit said the 15-year-old is on her way back to the search base with emergency crews.
More to come.
