It was a wonderful team performance where every player contributed to the victory over the Berry-Shoalhaven Heads team at Shoalhaven Heads. The game was limited to 32 overs each.
Batemans Bay captain, Paul Cullen, won the toss and decided to bat. After losing an early wicket, Henry Shannon and Bailey King put on an enterprising partnership of 31 runs.
Due to some fine bowling from J. Weekly 4/24 and M. Marron 3/12, Batemans Bay collapsed to 8/50. This was followed by a magnificent partnership between Caspar Matuschka (29) and Rob Frawley (19) who was dismissed on the last ball of the innings with the total on 129.
Berry-Shoalhaven Heads started well, but consistent bowling and excellent fielding by Batemans Bay kept them on top.
Seb Giri, who played his first game, bowled and fielded very well. But it was Bailey King 3/15, Caspar Matuschka 1/8 off five overs, and Tyler Frawley 2/12 who did the damage.
Berry-Shoalhaven Heads finished on 8/109 giving victory to Batemans Bay by 20 runs.
