The mixed competition will run in Batemans Bay (Hanging Rock Oval), Moruya (Gundary Oval), and Bermagui (Dickinson Oval) beginning later this month.
Moruya will begin on Tuesday, October 15, Bermagui on Wednesday, October 16, and Batemans Bay on Thursday, October 31.
AFL 9s is a nine-a-side format played on a rectangular field. Each side must have at least two women on the field at any given time.
The game is skill based, meaning there is no tackling or physical contests. If a player is tagged with possession, or the ball hits the ground, possession is turned over.
The competition will run for eight or nine weeks, and only costs $40 per player ($400 per team).
