Batemans Bay Police and Fire and Rescue NSW are at the scene.
A police spokesman said it was a lucky escape for customers and staff. No one was hurt.
Batemans Bay Fire and Rescue crews helped the man out of the vehicle to his walking frame. Commander Craig Mashman said the man crashed through the front glass doors of the store.
"The gentleman may have had a medical episode and drove up the footpath and punched through the front of the store," Mr Mashman said.
"The minor part of the fabrication of the store is damaged. He punched through the aluminium framing which is not structurally sound, but the integrity of the building is fine."
Crews removed the car from the store.
The male driver was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Batemans Bay Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
Police are continuing investigations into the cause of the crash.
