Batemans Bay Soldiers Club staff were searching for the owner of the silver Nissan Micra leaking fuel.
Firefighters said the Nissan Micra had disabled parking licencing and hoped the owner returned soon.
Batemans Bay Soldiers Club CEO Paul Biddlestone said staff attempted to clean up the spillage before firefighters arrived.
"We tried to mop it up with towels and put a bucket underneath, but it became out of our hands, so we called firies for assistance," Mr Biddlestone said.
Firefighters said the leakage had stopped and there was no risk to the public.
Mr Biddlestone was reaching out to surrounding businesses to find the owner of the vehicle.
