David Walter Sharpe, 49, and Julie Louise Sharpe, 46, faced Magistrate Mark Douglass on Monday, September 30, charged with concealing a serious indictable offence with a maximum sentence of more than 20 years' of prison.
Court documents show that Mr Sharpe allegedly "failed, without reasonable excuse, to bring information to the Police Force knowing that a serious offence had been committed by Daniel Sharpe".
During proceedings, Mr Sharpe's lawyer Wayne Boom asked if his client could not appear at the next court date - a request denied by Magistrate Douglass.
A brief evidence has been provided to both Mr Boom and Ms Sharpe's lawyer, Geoffrey Knox, and prosecutors will now prepare a charge certificate for both parties.
The matters were adjourned to Monday, November 11.
