THIRTEEN different champions were crowned on Sunday, September 22, as the Shoalhaven hosted the 2019 Basketball NSW Barrengarry finals.

In the under 12 boys A final, Illawarra defeated Shoalhaven Black 20-9, as Batemans Bay downed Camden Valley for the under 12 B boys title.
While the under 12 girls A and B crowns were taken out by Illawarra Red and Moss Vale Green, who edged Illawarra White and Milton-Ulladulla respectively.
Moss Vale and Merimbula took out the under 14 boys A and B titles, after respectively ousting Camden Valley (21-16) and Milton-Ulladulla (20-19).
The Moss Vale Magic also won the under 14 girls decider, grinding out a tough victory against hosts Shoalhaven, before their under 16 boys A side downed Illawarra Red by three points (49-46) in the final.
Illawarra got revenge in the under 16 boys B grade grand final, as their White team ran away with a 57-34 win against Wollondilly.
In the under 16/19 girls division, Illawarra held on to defeat Moss Vale 45-39, as Moss Vale outclassed Batemans Bay for the under 18s boys silverware.
In a high scoring youth men's final, Illawarra White downed Milton-Ulladulla 59-53 - with the Hawks also taking out the youth/open women's section, smashing Milton-Ulladulla 64-15 in the decider.
The final lot of games were in the open men's A and B divisions, with Sutherland and Milton-Ulladulla winning their respective finals against Illawarra Red (37-32) and Wollondilly (54-19).
The day full of hoops action played at the Shoalhaven Basketball Stadium, Nowra Anglican College and Bomaderry High School, saw teams from Shoalhaven, Illawarra, Kiama, Milton-Ulladulla, Queanbeyan, Moss Vale, Merimbula, Batemans Bay, Camden Valley and Wollondilly.
