Sue Curby, Tess Gallen, Moosa Kutty, and Shadiya NK were taken through the new store by store manager Michael McCarron, the first members of the public to see the new layout in Batemans Bay.
During the tour, a solid crowd of people formed outside the front door waiting for the official opening.
Ms Curby said she was excited to see the changes in the store.
"I wanted to see exactly what it was they were doing here, and to see the new layout," she said. "It was a bit chaotic before, but it's really well laid out now.
"Everything is neat, in place, and easily accessible. I'll be shopping here."
Mr Kutty said his family would continue to shop at Aldi after the changes.
"We've only been in Australia for four years, and Aldi was the first supermarket we stepped into," he said. "The new store is fresh, it's big, and you can see the products a lot better on the shelves.
"We were surprised as soon as we got off the escalator, and people should be really happy about this."
Ms Curby believes the refurbished store will be a boon for the area.
"This is going to be a game changer in Batemans Bay for the other stores," she said. "You can see how many people are really keen to come in, and I think this will be fantastic for the area."
