A revitalised Batemans Bay 'Boars' Rugby Union Club presentation night took place at Catalina Country Club on Saturday evening, August 31, with a mix of players, supporters and sponsors attending.
Club coach Matt Ryan said numbers were up on previous years' presentation nights, which was encouraging for all to see.
"It was our first year we have been back at the Cat Club for a few years now that they are a major sponsor," he said.
"What's lacked in the past is we've only had players and maybe a few others, but this year it was very well supported. A great night was had by all."
Several senior and junior awards were presented and winners were as follows:
Best and fairest and player's player went to Ashley Kenny, best forward to Jim Roberts, best back to Will Thomas, club person of the year was Terry Cantwell, coaches award was Steve Fitzgerald, captain's award went to Sean Bow, rookie of the year was Charlie Valentini and the golden oldies achievement award went to Lindsay King-Gee.

Five juniors who have made some significant achievements and performed well over the season were presented with a $200 donation each from Greg Humphries of Advanced Modular Railings to help with their sporting development.
Two made the ACT Brumbies schoolgirls rep team recently, Chloe Hollis and Bonnie Brewer, while D'Zhane Lole-Ngarima made the NSW rugby team.
Additionally Boars' Malaki Steadman and Lachlan Collier were recognised for their stellar efforts.
Lachlan represented the Brumbies u13s earlier this year in the state championships in Maitland.
"Although we had to scale back juniors for this year for a few reasons, all these kids continued to play for the clubs," Mr Ryan said.
"Most of them played in the Canberra comp for different teams.
"The idea of the sponsorship from Greg Humphries at Advanced Modular Railings, comes down to continued support for our juniors. He has covered some of the cost for them next year.
"We've identified kids who showed club spirit, even if they played for a different team, they have still had a strong presence with the club."
Looking ahead the club has plans for a senior and junior off season, to be announced in coming weeks. Sevens rugby will also start soon and the club is aiming for a number of teams across age groups.
"The season hasn't ended," Mr Ryan said. "[Rugby] is really a 12 months of the year proposition these days."
Congratulations go to all the players on their achievements.
