Batemans Bay Evening View Club met on Wednesday, August 13, at Club Catalina. After a delicious meal Captain Ian Aitken, from Batemans Bay Rural Fire Service, gave an interesting and informative talk on bushfires, their character and fire readiness for the coming season. He discussed how important it is for everyone to have and know their fire plan, not only for this coming fire season but for all year. Fire plan kits were given out for everyone to use.
