This classic tale of adventure by CS Lewis is sure to please both older and younger audience members. The story follows four siblings who have been sent to stay with a relative in the country outside London, to keep them safe during World War Two. To amuse themselves they explore the huge house and discover a room with an enormous old wardrobe, which leads them through the fur coats and out the back of the wardrobe into a snowy mysterious land where it's "always winter and never Christmas".
It's a wonderland filled with magical unicorns, talking squirrels and a witch that wants to rule over the entire land. The cast are transforming into every imaginable creature as part of the White Witch's army.
What is this strange place and who are all these creatures? Come along and find out. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is on stage from November 22 to December 7.

The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) by Ken Ludwig is the next play exploration, to be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 7pm at the Playhouse, 33 Gregory Street, Batemans Bay.
Set at Christmas time 1936, this hilarious play follows William Gillette, a Broadway superstar famous for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.
Gillette has invited fellow cast members to his opulent home for a night of revelry, but when one of the guests winds up dead, Gillette has to assume the persona of his beloved Sherlock to track down the killer before the next victim appears.
Come along to enjoy the mystery, the comedy and to find out whodunit.
The Bay Theatre Players Committee are currently undertaking the important process of reviewing and approving the 2020 show season.
A show included for consideration must have been approved at a play exploration and put in the ''pot'' to be eligible.
All are most welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly play explorations, one way to help inform what our community would like to see from the theatre.
