Marine Rescue's regional operations manager, Glenn Sullivan, said the boat was stuck two nautical miles off the Moruya River when it encountered mechanical failure.
Marine Rescue Sydney and Marine Rescue Narooma both responded to calls from the vessel at 6.30am.
Marine Rescue Narooma was activated to tow the boat in to Preddys Wharf. Mr Sullivan described the job as a "relatively simple tow in favourable conditions".
Neither of the people of board suffered any injuries.
The incident follows another tow off Bermagui last week. A volunteer crew from Marine Rescue Bermagui was activated overnight on Wednesday, August 28, to a disabled yacht three nautical miles off the coast.
The vessel's propeller was entangled in fish-trap lines, which caused the engine to stall.
That rescue was carried out in southwesterly winds up to 31 knots.
