The AGM of August 7 was adjourned to August 21 after no nominations for president were received.
Returning officer Phil Constable had an easier time of it at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club at the second attempt to elect a new executive.
Ms Miers, who has owned and managed numerous businesses, including in the retail, hospitality and tourism sectors, replaces David Maclachlan as leader.
Charles Stuart, who was absent, was unopposed to replace Paul Biddlestone as vice-president.
Anne Brown returns as secretary and Maree Jackson, also absent, was appointed treasurer.
David Seymour, who nominated two weeks ago as treasurer, withdrew and accepted a position on the committee.
Marketing consultant Cameron Thompson withdrew his earlier nomination as secretary and also accepted a role on the committee.
The previous executive stepped down en masse blaming poor relations with Eurobodalla Shire Council.
However, both Mr Stuart and Ms Brown have returned.
Speaking after she was elected unopposed, Ms Miers said she had lived in the Batemans Bay area for 38 years, opening a jewellery business in Mogo in 1981.
When she lost her husband she faced the challenge of raising three children and running the business alone.
"I had to run the business, I had no choice," she told the meeting.
She said she wanted to work collaboratively.
"I am sure we can work together to make a difference," she said.
"I would like to thank David and the team. It has been inspiring for me.
"David's energy and the team have really pushed boundaries - maybe too much at times - but I feel it has pushed the town in a direction it needed to go."
Ms Brown said she was excited to be part of the new executive.
