Weyman, the father of former NRL players Michael and Tim, is the Bidgee region's nominee, and will go up against five other nominees from around New South Wales.
The nomination is well deserved for a man who has spent most of his life involved with rugby league in Moruya.
The Sharks' home ground is named after the 73-year-old, who still straps players before their games.
He also helps with marking the lines of the field, and is involved in fundraising, player recruitment and gamedays.
Weyman has been involved with rugby league all his life, and has held a variety of roles at the club, including junior coach, player, president, treasurer, and fundraiser.
In 1988, Ack borrowed earthmoving equipment from the local council and, with the help of a team of volunteers, gave us his weekends to build the Sharks' ground at the Moruya Showgrounds.
Council decided to name the ground 'Ack Weyman Oval' to acknowledge his contribution to rugby league in the area.
Ack still offers support and advice to young players, and has transported many players to and from Canberra for training and selection trials.
Fellow Group 16 club Tathra was nominated for Club of the Year for the way they rebuilt after the tragic bushfires in 2018.
