Spokesperson for Sailability at the Bay, Tish Ennis said, "Sailability activities cover a broad spectrum ranging from recreation, therapeutic and competitive events on the water, from grass roots level through to elite World Championships (two of our members will be sailing in Italy next October.)
"The achievement of Sailability goals is dependent upon the full integration of our able bodied team members with our more disadvantaged sailors and we encourage everyone to challenge themselves and widen their boundaries," she said.
Sailability Batemans Bay needs help with a wide range of different tasks prior to sailing days and on sailing days.
"We need to build our team and we welcome new members and their families," Ms Ennis said.
"There is sure to be a role for you that meets your particular skills and interests whether you have any previous boat/sailing knowledge or not.
"We meet at Nelligen boat ramp on the first Sunday of the month and on the following Mondays from 9.30am until 3pm.
"If you are free to join us for even one day during the month, you are most welcome," she said.
For anyone interested in joining the great crew of Sailability, there is an Information and social evening on Thursday, August 29 at 6.30pm, at the Batemans Bay Community Centre. Light refreshments will be available.
"Please come along to meet us and hear about our fun."
