Vietnam Veterans Day was marked at Rotary Park, Beach Road, in Batemans Bay on Sunday, August 18 with an 11am ceremony at the memorial stone.

Eurobodalla Vietnam Veterans and Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Association president, Tony Herbert, said feelings of camaraderie and solemnity were tangible at the service.
Mr Herbert said guest speaker Major General James Molan AC AO DSC US Legion of Merit, who served for about 40 years, gave a powerful speech.
A RAAF helicopter flew over the service and Veterans Motorcycle Club representatives from Canberra, Central Coast, Southern Tablelands, Sydney and the South Coast attended.
About 160 veterans, invited guests, service people, current serving people and local politicians were at the Soldiers Club for a special lunch.
