Rural Fire Service spokesperson, Marty Webster, said crews first responded to the scene at 5am, where they found a car and the surrounding grass well alight.
"The crews were on scene for about 45 minutes, during which time they manage to completely extinguish the blaze," he said.
"The area had deep duff material, so completely blacking out was a challange.
"Duff is the decomposed, ultra-fine fuel that acts like compost. It just wants to smolder, and it's not necessarily putting up a lot of flame, so it's tough to know when it's fully extinguished.
"The crews did a fantastic job."
