Tuross Head men
Saturday, August 10: Greg Smith was the winner of the Tuross Head men's stableford event on Saturday with an excellent score of 37 points. Ken Brown filled second placing with a score of 36 points and Peter Garn filled third placing on a countback. John Eglitis and Peter McRae filled the remaining award spots-both scoring 35 points.

Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfer Troy Kingdom with 8.25m on the 4th hole. Ken Brown was closest on the 6th with 2.72m and Ian McManus won the 7th hole with 5.82m. B grade player Greg Booth was the best on the 4th hole with 6.20m.
Peter Garn won the 6th with 2.04m and Bruce Lidbury the 7th with 3.72m. In C grade Greg Ware was the best on the 4th hole with 8.03m. Mick Hogan won the 6th with 5.80m and Michael Kermode the 7th with 4.58m.
Thursday's stableford medley competition was won by Bob Hay with 39 points. Bob edged out Steve Johnston who finished second on a countback. Ian McManus 38 points and Richard Wharton 36 points filled the remaining award positions. Nearest the pins were won by Richard Wharton, Bob Hay and Leonie Snodgrass.
Tuross Head Ladies
A beautiful winter's day for the 20 ladies who set out to play in the 3rd & final round of the 2019 Club Championships. We are pleased to announce that our new Champion for 2019 is a very happy Pauline Nash.
The gross runner-up in Division one was Leonie Snodgrass. In division two the gross winner was Kaye Lunt and Runner up was Judy Apps. The net winner in division one was Chris Wratten & runner up was Gail Rogers. In division two the net winner was Lyn Benger & the runner up was Jennifer Gray. The daily competition in division one was won by Pauline Nash, followed by Teri Swanbury. Division two winner was Jennifer Gray, followed by Kaye Lunt. In division three it was Elsa Shearer, followed by Wendy Schmid.
Nearest the pin on the 6th - Chris Wratten & on the 15th - Annette Manton. The golden hole in division was won by - Teri Swanbury & in division two it was - Beverley Theobald. Next week will be a single stableford event.
Moruya Saturday Golf
The Moruya Saturday Golfers played an individaul medley stableford event with the following results:
A Grade 1st Greg Ganderton with 36 nett on c/b. 2nd John Wassell with 36 nett. B Grade 1st Laurie Buckle with 33 nett. 2nd Viv Thornett with 32 nett on c/b. C Grade 1st Rod Berry with 40 nett. 2nd Dave Ison with 34 nett on c/b. D Grade 1st Andy Dunn with 38 nett, 2nd Paul Hawkins with 35 nett. Golden Shot was won by Greg Knight.

A Grade: First: Jo Taylor (handicap 15) 71 points. Second: Jenny Scullin (handicap 17) 72 points. First Gross: Margaret Dickinson (handicap 5) 82 points.
B Grade: First: Marion Edmonds (handicap 24) 71 points. Second: Helen Wise (handicap24) 73 points. First Gross: Pat Sly (handicap 23) 98 points.
C Grade: First: Sandra McCamley (handicap 37) 73 points. Second: Carol Soper (handicap 31) 75 points. First gross: Jo Neal (handicap 33) 109 points
Nearest the pin: C Grade: Jo Neal. The ball count went down to 82 points.
Moruya Women
Wednesday 14th August saw 29 Moruya Women Golfer's play a Single Stableford. In great form and leading the field was Div.1's Dee Meek who had a commendable 34 pts. Hot contender Robyn Hawkins was runner-up with 32 pts. Div. 2's Vicki Goodwin took out 1st place with 32 pts whilst runner-up Edith Jones had 31 pts. Div. 3 winner Marilyn Bingham narrowly pipped runner-up Joan Hosking with 32 pts on C/B.
NTP winner's were Div.1's Jan Lumsden on the 12th, Div. 2's Lyn Gibbs on the 6th and Div. 3's Judi Hebbard on the 5th. Jan Lumsden "let it fly" achieving the longest drive in Div.1.
Tuross Head Veterans
Another beautiful day for the 57 starters who played in a single stableford event on Wednesday. The winner was - Robert McKirdy with 23 points. Second place went to - Les Thompson with 21 points. Third place getter was - Herb Muriwai with 20 points & fourth place was won by - Terry Lunn also with 20 points.
The Bradmans was awarded to - Barry Hoban & the Accuracy Drive went to - Kath Crossling. Nearest the pins - 4th - Herb Muriwai. 6th - Jennifer Gray. 7th - Teri Swanbury & Bruce Ware. Ball or chocolate went to - Kath Crossling - 19 points. Lyn Benger, Derek Hoare, Tim Starr - 18 points. Greg Smith, Ray Downey, Annette Manton - 17 points. Steve Swanbury, Neil Watson, Shirley Quinlan, Ted Quinlan, Bruce Ware, Jennifer Gray & Patrick McNeil - 16 points.
Next week will be a stroke & putt event and the first round of the Vets' Championships.
Narooma Men
SATURDAY, AUGUST 10: A field of 138 players teed off on the first day of the Seahorse Ambrose where the gross was won by Mark Anderson and Ben Sealey from Narooma and Michael Coulter from Tura Beach with a score of 61. The best round in the net was recorded by the Narooma trio of Phil Haynes, Domin Connaughton and Vicky Connaughton with a score of 56 1/2, followed by Brendan Warby and Tim Sykes from Narooma teamed with Reece Woods from Moss Vale on 56 5/6. The Links Shell Cove team of Jason Stoker, Glen Gibson and Graham Stewart finished third on 58 net. The nearest-the-pin winners were Elliott Wain from Catalina on 3, Rustin Emery from Gold Creek on 9, Robert Ackling on 14 and Ken Brown from Moruya on 17.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 11: The gross winners on the second day were Scott Ker from Narooma, Josh Campbell from Murrumbidgee and Ross McLoughlin from Gungahlin Lakes with a 12 under par score of 60. The net winners were Terry Jack and Jay Goodwin from Bermagui teamed with Narooma's Jackson Taylor with a score of 55 5/6 followed by the Narooma team of Blake Thornhill, Matt Corbett and William Monteith on 57 1/3. Third place was taken out by the Catalina team of Elliott Wain, Robert Mackay and David Clout on 58 1/2. The nearest-the-pin winners were Ross McLoughlin on 3, Brendan Warby on 9, William Willoughby from Queanbeyan on 14 and Reece Woods from Moss Vale on 17. The overall gross score was won by Mark Anderson, Ben Sealey and Michael Coulter with 123 off the stick.
