South Coast Police have charged a woman following a domestic violence incident in Batehaven on Saturday, July 20.

A South Coast Police district spokesperson said police were called to Peter Crescent following reports that a residential building was on fire at approximately 10.40pm.
"Officers attached to the South Coast Police District arrived to locate a distressed 45-year-old male with injuries to the right side of his head, sustained prior to the fire," they said. "He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
"A 55-year-old woman was conveyed to hospital with possible smoke inhalation."
The spokesperson said a crime scene was established, and a warrant was executed at the scene at 11.30am on Sunday, July 21.
"The 45-year-old woman left hospital on Sunday, and was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm," they said.
"She was served with an apprehended domestic violence order, and will appear before Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, July 29."
Police will continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
