The Batemans Bay line dancers held their 23rd annual line dancing Stampede at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club on July 6.
There was an overwhelming sense of fun and happiness, with many accolades passed to the organisers.
The annual fundraiser benefit the Muddy Puddles - an organisation that provides therapy, development programs and individual support to children and young people with a disability across the Eurobodalla Shire.
The Stampede organisers, Dave and Jo Lake, raised $1800 which was presented to Muddy Puddles secretary Tina Phillip.
The line dancers also put money aside on a weekly basis for the Batemans Bay Hospital Auxiliary, which has now enabled them to hand over a total of $2809 to the auxiliary president Ann McClintock.
"It's so wonderful and important to have the community support the hospital; each of your dollars will go towards equipment which could possibly save your life one day," Ms McClintok said.
Line dancing is held on a weekly basis at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club. Line dancing organiser Alan Rosier said it is a worthwhile community event.
"Line dancing is now a huge worldwide activity, with many benefits for participants; including physical and mentalfitness," he said.
"We enjoy a chance to move to music and socialise with fun-loving people."
Line dancing for beginners is on each Thursday from 3-4pm, then progressing dancers from 4-7pm. Experienced dancers get together on Tuesdays from 5-7pm. Ultra beginner courses are also conducted on a regular basis; the next one runs for eight weeks starting on Monday, July 29 from 5-6.30pm.
