Adopted as part of the council's new code of meeting practice, the council said the sessions would provide community members the opportunity to raise any council-related issues with councillors, which had not been previously determined by the council.
The sessions would be held one Tuesday a month in the Council Chamber, starting Tuesday, July 23, at 9.15-10.15am. The sessions would not be webcast.
To present at a public access session, the council said community members must register and provide a written copy of their presentation by 12pm on the business day prior.
Each speaker would have seven minutes to present, after which councillors could ask questions.
The council would provide a response to the presenter within 10 business days, and the presentation and response would be published on the council's website.
For more information on the public access sessions visit Council's website www.esc.nsw.gov.au/inside-council/council/meetings or to register phone Council's executive service office on 4474 1358.
