Heather had hosted a Mother's Day lunch at her place in May, with the theme of: "food our mother would have prepared, clothes that she would have worn" etc. and it was such a hit that they wanted another themed party.
Heather made her dress out of leftovers, and the sleeve flounces were as psychedelic as she could find (a cut-up $5 skirt from Vinnies).
She recreated "go-go" boots with borrowed white boots and long white socks. Her next door neighbour, Terry McDonough, brought along her guitar and sang some '60s songs and they reminisced about the era, e.g. Where were you when man landed on the moon? Wow that was 1969!
Time flies when you are growing old!

Fernanda Taylor had a lovely catch-up with gorgeous grand-daughter Elle McBride on a flying visit from Queensland. Fernanda, Frank O'Brien and Elle enjoyed lunch at the Bodalla Dairy.
If you are wondering what is happening at Cullendulla Beach ... contractors have begun removing an old sewer main from the beach - marking the end of a very long project for Eurobodalla Shire Council.
The original pipe to service Long Beach was laid in the mid-1980s.
An exhibition not to be missed. You are all invited to see the works of Lesley Whale and Keedah Throssel. Opening is at 6pm, Friday, July 12, at the BAS Gallery in Moruya (adjacent to the library).
The Artists' talk is at 11am on Saturday, July 13, and the exhibition runs till August 4.
And speaking of clever artists, Sue Barford will be at Moruya Library next Thursday, July 18, from 5pm to 6pm to talk about her textile design work.
Sue uses observations about nature as the basis for her designs. Primarily a textile artist and best known for her designer label clothing and accessories.
Sue mostly works with natural fibres, silk, wool and cotton. She is here to share how these fibres take on a life of their own, and how she develops concepts for her unique, beautiful creations.
The talk is free but bookings appreciated, 4474 1333.
