The South Coast Pastel Society is offering two wonderful opportunities in pastel painting, which will be held at the Batemans Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, George Bass Drive, Malua Bay.
The first is a one-day Seascape workshop for artists with a medium knowledge of pastels and which will be held on Saturday, June 15.
In this workshop, master pastellist and award-winning artist Tricia Taylor will lead you through analysing wave movement, water effects, coastlines, wet sand, cresting waves and luminescence.
Cost of the one-day workshop is $80 for members and $90 for non members with only two places left. Bookings and registration is essential.
Still not sure but curious, or simply interested in how a master pastellist applies her talents to create an award winning piece, then come along and watch Tricia in action in this Sunday's half-day demonstration which starts at 9.30am sharp and concludes at 12 noon.

Sydney based Tricia Taylor's art career spans a few decades and in 2011 she was awarded Master Pastellist status by the Pastel Society of Australia.
Her awards are numerous and prestigious and she may be remembered here for her winning pastel art piece at the Sth Coast Pastel Society's 3rd Annual National Pastel Competition.
She is firstly a seascape artist who loves to paint plein air, although proficient in landscape she conducts workshops all over Australia and her work has been featured in many prominent galleries or exhibitions.

She has had several articles published in the Australian Artist Magazine, Art Edit and Draw Magazine UK. She quotes that "the beauty and serenity of creation is what draws me to paint".
