Bowls Reports
MALUA BAY WOMEN
Last Tuesday there were 47 bowlers on the greens on a very windy day - I think it was coming off the snow it was so cold. We had an early start with a talk from a representative from Cabramatta Bowling Club. There is lots happening at Malua - a very exciting time as we amalgamate.

TOMAKIN TWIST TOPS
Another beautiful day of sunshine for the beginning of winter for 50 bowlers on the greens last weekend. There will be a barbecue breakfast this coming Sunday, June 9, and keep in mind AGM on Sunday, July 14. Happy Birthday wishes Terry Montgomerie. Di Zeibell thanked Twisties, Men's bowls and Tomakin Club for the raffles they are holding to help the women's club raise funds for the Grade 3 Pennant team towards their trip to Kingscliff to play in State Finals in August. Winners with least number of winning ends: Laurie Masterson and Tony Vogel. Runners-up, Jeanette Pooley and Dick Morley. Breakfast trays on 27, Roz Greenhalgh 31, Mary Handley . Well done to Trish Chapman on Rink 3 as she split the cards and came up with the joker. Four very happy bowlers shared the winnings. Di Zeibell won both awards this week for leaving one of her bowls on the green after all bowls had been picked up, a bit harsh I think Di!! Welcome to Russell Ashworth who is joining Twisties, a new bowler who is bowling like a champion. Well done to Nick Tiyce and Stuart Megee who will play off in Minor Singles. Both had great wins in semi final - a pleasure to watch them bowl and so good to see the young ones take up the sport.
