A large crowd packed Zealand Oval at Shoalhaven Heads on Sunday, for the big grudge match, family fun day between the two South Coast police patrols in aid of Beyond Blue.
The memorial trophy is named in the honour of late Chief Inspector Johnson, who worked at both the Shoalhaven and Lake patrols, and tragically passed away last year.
The Lake Illawarra Lions opened the scoring midway through the first half to lead 1-nil, an advantage they maintained at half-time.

South Coast Dolphins hit back to level the scores in the second half through Kyle Lavender.
The sides remained locked 1-all at fulltime, sending the game into a 10-minute period of extra time.
Early in the extra time, Ray Luke scored from a goalmouth scramble to give South Coast the lead 2-1, which they held until the final whistle.
Nowra Detective Senior Constable Jason Angus said it was nice to "see the poor cousins finally get up".
"A great win by the guys," he said.
The two sides have now met on four occasions, with Lake having two wins to the South Coast's one, and one draw.
But more importantly, Shoalhaven maintained possession of the Jonno Memorial Shield, which was instituted last year, just weeks after his tragic death.
"It was an awesome day, and a great crowd," Det Angus said.
"It was a hard fought game, I think a few spectators weren't expecting the skill or commitment to the game."
Spectators were treated to a full family fun day, including a touch football game before the football clash.
The day raised almost $1000 for Beyond Blue.
South Coast's Matt Paynter was named man of the match, taking out the Peter Richardson Shield, which was presented by one of Richo's good friends Michelle Hammond.
Jonno's parents, John and Carol, presented the memorial shield to the delighted victors.
Ray Luke was voted South Coast's players' player with Anthony Lawlor taking out the same award for Lake Illawarra.
Plans are already in hand to stage the big clash for the Steven "Jonno" Johnson Memorial Shield at Shoalhaven Heads again next year.
The Dolphins and Lions will both be taking part in the NSW Pollice Games in Woonona in October and hope to renew their keen rivalry again.
