The three directors have pulled together a wonderful ensemble of actors to support the main roles, provide some humour amongst the darkness, and add colour and texture to the play.
The multi-generational cast, aged from fourteen to the late seventies, are in full rehearsal, refining and practicing their roles to bring the audience a quality production.
During these times long term friendships are often formed and fun, laughter and jokes shared.
This week we showcase two cast members, Stefanie Foster, an experienced BTP player and Tyler McNamara, a relatively young and new member to our stage.
Stefanie was born in Queanbeyan and ended up in Moruya via Leeton where she works as a casual teacher.
She joined the Bay Theatre Players in 1992, during a brief coastal stay and played Buttons in Cinderella, her first of many roles as a male.
Since returning in 2001 Stef has been in musicals, several dramas, comedies such as Allo Allo and a murder mystery.
Stef said 'I chose to be in Macbeth because I love Shakespeare, though it is the darkest play I have ever done.'
Her favourite line from Malcolm to MacDuff, after his wife and children have been killed - 'dispute it as a man.
'Macduff replies 'First, I must feel it as a man.'
Stef plays the role of Lennox, a political figure, a lord, who describes what is happening to Scotland, and what the people think.
Tyler McNamara is from Batemans Bay but grew up in Moruya.
He went to watch an audition for Guys and Dolls, and ended up singing and dancing and he auditioned and joined the cast.
Tyler said 'I was contacted by the director and asked to be a part
of Macbeth and I'm really glad I did - I get to fight someone with a sword for the first time and that's great.
'His favourite line - 'Is this a dagger I see before me' - is from a scene that Tyler finds very interesting and enjoyable.
Watch out for Stephanie Foster and Tyler McNamara on stage.
