A TAFE spokesperson confirmed the Ulladulla campus has been temporarily closed.
"TAFE NSW can confirm a bushfire in the vicinity of TAFE NSW Ulladulla has resulted in the temporary closure of the campus," the spokesperson said.
"All employees and students have been safely evacuated.
"TAFE NSW will reassess the fire situation later today before making a decision on when to resume campus operations."
Update: 2.52pm
Both RFS and Fire and Rescue units are continuing to work to contain the fire.
A bulldozer is now working to construct a control line on the northern side of the fire.
RFS District Officer Brad Collinson said he believed the southern and the eastern edges of the fire were contained.
Update: 1.25pm
Investigations are underway into how a blaze near the Kings Point industrial area south of Ulladulla started.
The fire, which is being fought by Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire and Rescue units, from the Shoalhaven and Eurobodalla has so far burnt out 18 hectares.
RFS District Officer Brad Collinson said crews from both organisations were working with a bulldozer to strengthen containment lines around the fire.
"Crews are backburning the southern edge of the fire and swinging around onto the eastern edge to link up with the dozer trail that has been put in," he said.
Mr Collinson said there were no threats to property.
"The Ulladulla TAFE campus self-evacuated," he said.
"The TAFE complex is a lot further north and were not directed by us to evacuate.
"The fire is burning in bushland and there are no threats to properties, however there will be a fair bit of smoke impacting on the industrial area, probably for the remainder of the day."
He said investigations into how the fire started would be ongoing.
"Neither us [RFS] or National Parks were doing any hazard reduction burning in that area," he said.
"So there will be investigations into how the fire started."
Mr Collinson said an earlier fire at Lemon Tree Creek had been contained.
He said crews were also facing a tough battle at a fire south west of Nowra in the Yerriyong area.
"We are trying to work out containment options," he said.
"Braidwood Road is being very heavily impacted by smoke as crews undertake backburning to strengthen containment lines," he said.
