Yass scored the first three tries of the match to jump out to an early 19-0 lead, but a 10-minute blitz in the second half which saw the Boars score three tries helped nail down the 13-point win.
The win sees the Boars remain in third place on the ladder, just three points off second-placed Jindabyne.
Boars coach Matthew Ryan said it was good to see the team perform strongly on the road after a disappointing loss to Bungendore two weeks ago.
"It's good to get those points on the road, because consistency on the road is how we'll progress in this comp," he said. "The Bungendore game was probably our worst performance to date, but we learnt a lot from it.
"We've been in similar situations in the last couple of games, but they've taken the points on offer, kept the scoreboard ticking over, and kept the accelerator down."
Ryan said he could see the improvement in the side over the past two weeks.
"It's pleasing that we've fixed some of those issues over the past fortnight," he said. "It shows the team is improving and the game management is getting better.
"There's new things we're doing this season, so you wouldn't expect the team to do them well all the time. It's good to get those issues ironed out early, and as we improve and progress through the year, we'd like to think those little kinks will be sorted out and we'll be better for it."
The Boars are already in a strong position to play finals, but Ryan said it was a little too early to be planning for the playoffs.
"You do start thinking about it to raise the point that if we continue to work hard at training, there are certainly big possibilities for the club," he said. "Jindabyne are within striking distance now, and we've got them two more times this season.
"If we win at least one of those games, top-two should be within reach.
"Having said that, we haven't played finals for a few years now, so top-four is the number-one goal. We've just got to keep the points column ticking over."
The Boars will hit the road again next weekend for a Friday night match against the Braidwood Redbacks, a fixture they lost last year.
"It was a disappointing result last year, but the season was over for both teams by that stage, so there were reasons for that loss," Ryan said. "The message for this week will be to be mindful of what happened last year, but also that we're a better side this year.
"If we stick to what we know, we shouldn't encounter too many issues."
