The match was won over the second and third quarters, as the Seahawks put on five-goals-to-one in a match-winning blitz.
ADFA hit back with four goals in the last quarter, but it wasn't enough to catch the Seahawks, who kicked two of their own to keep the home-side at arm's length.
Claudia Ferguson kicked three goals for the winners, while Gabrielle Johnson chipped in with two. Claudia Alves, Michelle Gentner, and Brahe-Ashlie Reid also hit the scoreboard.
Coach Mick Alves said the win was his side's "best game to date".
"We improved to another level on Saturday," he said. "I felt as though we started playing football. We demonstrated the skills required to play the game really well, and we transferred the ball up the field quite well.
"We now realise we can match it with the best in our competition over the past month. We're looking forward to our next game against Molonglo, who we played about a month ago.
"That'll help us gauge how far we've come."
The Seahawks now sit fifth on the ladder with a 2-3 record, but Alves believes they have the ability to push up into the top four.
"For a lot of our girls, it was only the fifth game they've every played in," he said. "They're learning from each game, and they're improving each week.
"It's very pleasing to know we're competitive and we can match it with the best sides. We believe we're capable of beating (undefeated) ANU."
Alves believes some consistency in the side will help bring more wins.
"Players are starting to cement their positions in the side, and knowing whether they're a forward, back, or midfielder," he said. "We're also starting to understand the players abilities and finding their best positions.
"Last Saturday's game was a reward for effort - the effort they've put into training is starting to translate on the field."
