On Saturday, May 18, crews responded to reports of bush alright in North Batemans Bay.
"Upon arrival, we found a campfire which was still burning and unfortunately, unattended," they said.
"This was incredibly dangerous as it was left burning next to a large pile of dead branches and logs.
"Our crew extinguished the camp fire and returned back to station shortly after."
The service has also reminded the public to notify Fire Control and neighbours 24 hours before lighting a pile burn.
They said to call Batemans Bay's control centre on 4474 2855.
