GOLF RESULTS
Tuross Head Ladies
A cool, but beautiful day for the 19 ladies to play in their 3rd medal round. The medal winner was - Leonie Snodgrass with a very nice 79 net, as well as being the division one winner. Runner up in division one was - Kay McLeod with an 80 net. Division two winner was - Dorothy Madden with an 90 net, followed by - Annette Manton with an 81 net. In division three it was - Ann Challender with an 80 net, followed by - Wendy Schmid with an 83 net. The putting competition was won by - Judy Apps with 25 putts. Nearest the pin on the 6th - Jennifer Gray & on the 15th it was - Leonie Snodgrass. The golden hole in division one was won by - Dorothy Madden & in division two it was - Jeanette Miller. The Pennant season finished last week & we are pleased to announce that Tuross team number 2 has won the Zone & will now play Eden in the finals. Good luck to all players.

Tuross Head Men
Tuross Head Country Club men's golf completed the final round of the 54-hole championship competition last Saturday and Leigh Coloe emerged as the overall club champion with excellent scores of 74, 71 and 74 strokes over the three rounds. Club course curator Tim Watson filled second scratch placing with a score of 240 strokes.
The net A grade winner, with a score of 211, was Shannon Maz. The hotly competitive competition for the Ernie Graham Shield, awarded for the best net score over the three grades, was won by Frank Pomfret with 261 strokes. The awards in B grade were won by Richard Kelly with 272 and Reginald Apps score of 221 resulted in a win for him in the handicap division. Peter Johnston was the best of the C grade players and his score of 280 saw him awarded the honour in this division. Steve Johnston won the net handicap section with 214 strokes.
Nearest the pins were won by: A grade golfers Peter Nikolic on the 4th hole with 3.4m. Mitchell Smith was closest on the 6th with 0.93 m and Tim Watson was best on the 7th with 10.02m. B grade player Bruce Handley's 1.19m was the closest on the 4th hole. Peter Garn was awarded the 6th with 2.77 m and Tony Brown the 7th with 12.41m. Chris Cox was the closest for C grade golfers with 3.0m on the 4th hole and Steve Johnston closest on the 6th with 3.28m. The longest drive competition was won by Leigh Coloe in A grade division, Jim Wade won B grade and Peter Johnston C grade.
Thursday's medley stableford competition was won by Ian Kingston with 39 points ahead of Ian McManus 37, Steve Johnston 36 and Trevor Jones 35. Nearest the pins were won by Colin Houghton, Ian McManus and Ian Manton.
TUROSS HEAD VETERANS
The cool morning seem to have kept some of our Vets at home as we only had 54 starters for our Wednesday game of stroke & putt. The winner was - Mike Birks with a 30 net. Second place went to - Kath Crossling with a 31 net. In third place it was - Noel Fletcher with a 32 net, after a countback from - Gayle MacAlpine who also had a 32 net, giving her fourth place. The Bradmans was awarded to - Solveig Olsson & the Accuracy drive went to - Kath Crossling. Nearest the pins - 4th - Mike Birks. 6th - Dorothy Madden. 7th - Leonie Snodgrass & Ian Manton. Ball or chocolate went to - Teri Swanbury - 33 net. Richard Warton - 35 net. Ted Quinlan, Ann Ware, Ian Manton, Ross MacAlpine, Richard Kelly, Jeanette Miller, Ian Miller all with 36 net. The putting competition was won by - Richard Kelly with 13 putts. The presentation for the "Elaine Jennings" Trophy also took place, with the winner being - Chris Wratten. This is the 4th time Chris has won this event. Congratulations on a job well done.

CLUB CATALINA LADIES
Wednesday 15th May: 55 ladies played in the 1st Round of the 54 Hole Championship and also the Monthly Medal Stroke and Putting event. The Second round of the Championship will be played next Wednesday on the 22nd May and the Final Round played the following Wednesday 29th May.

Moruya Women
In a tightly contested round, 27 Moruya Women Golfer's took to the fairways and played the 2nd Ladies Championships on Wednesday, 15th May. Congratulations go to Div.1 winner Jan Lumsden with 77 nett and runner-up Sue Wallensky with 78 nett. Div. 2's 1st place went to Jan Young with 78 nett and runner-up was Edith Jones with 80 nett. Div. 3's Joan Hosking took out 1st place with an outstanding 75 nett and runner-up was Jan Woolley with 79 nett. Annette O'Connell was NTP on the 6th for Div.1. Val Moore was NTP on the 12h for Div.2. Edith Jones "let it fly" achieving the longest drive in Div.2.
NAROOMA GOLF CLUB
SATURDAY 11th MAY: Strong winds made things very difficult for the 118 players in the second round of the Club Championships , as was reflected in the DSR of 74/73 and the fact that only two players bettered or equalled their handicap on the day. In A Grade Doug Morey finished with the best score of the day with 68 net off his handicap of10, well ahead of Brett Thompson on 73 net and Bill Hannam on 74 net who edged out Bill Anderson on countback to take third place. In B Grade Anton Galloway mastered the conditions to score 69 net off his handicap of 15, five better than Mark Falconer and Les Campbell on 74 net. In C Grade Steve Dobson finished with 74 net off his handicap of 24 to head Seamus Kelliher from Moruya by one shot and Alby Donnelly by two.
Jordan Lang has emerged as the Club Champion for 2019 with 146, well ahead of Scott Ker on 160. In the A Grade net Brett Thompson headed Michael-Wuttke Hayes on countback with 147 net. B Grade was taken out by Anton Galloway with 176, followed by Scott Kennedy with 187, while Mark Falconer took the net with 147 ahead of Kevin Mitchell on 151. In C Grade Brian Brown finished on top with 201 ahead of Alby Donnelly.
