The Seahawks were looking to string two consecutive wins together in the senior fixture against a very well drilled ANU Griffins outfit on Saturday, May 11.

Their first away game of the season was an unsuccessful one for the Seahawks who copped a late quarter defeat 6.12-48 to 4.6-30.
The Seahawks jumped out of the blocks early with two first quarter goals. ANU responded and were quick to hit back with one of their own late in the quarter.
It was a seesawing battle in the first half as neither side could break clear with the Seahawks taking a very slender two point lead into half time.
Both sides once again traded blows in the third. Still holding onto a two-point lead, the Seahawks looked to have the better of the play.
However, it the Griffins whipped out some big-gun moves in play, gaining four goals in the final term and finishing with an 18-point victory.
Graham Enright was a standout for the visitors at centre half back whilst youngster Byron Van Dyk kicked two goals in a solid game up forward.
In the reserve grade fixture, the Seahawks couldn't keep their undefeated record intact as they went down to a very strong ANU outfit by 37 points.
New Recruit Dean Hill was massive up forward with a six goal performance while Ben Koote was tireless in the ruck.
In the women's fixture, the Seahawks faced the might of the ANU Griffins for the second week in a row, and were unable to square the ledger.
It was another strong performance from the newly formed women's team as they went down by 11 points.
Alison Ryan continued her impressive start to season with another best on ground performance while Gabbie Johnson was the lone goal kicker.
The Seahawks are on the road again this Saturday as they take on the ADFA Rams in round six.
