Billy Alves and Shaun Green both kicked three goals for the Seahawks, who now sit third on the ladder with a 2-1 record.
The first half was a tight affair, as Googong went goal-for-goal with the home side to only trail by two points at the main break.
However, two quick goals to begin the third quarter set the tone for the Seahawks, who kicked eight goals to one to seal a 48-point victory.
Coach Mick Kenny said the response in the second half was a good sign.
"We were pretty dirty on ourselves last week, and the first half probably wasn't much better," he said. "We were making silly errors, and we just weren't working hard enough.
"I'm not usually the type for a spray, but I gave them one at half time, and just tried to talk a bit of sense into the boys.
"We came out and responded hard in the third quarter. We kicked the first couple of goals to get on the front foot, and the way we finished that fourth quarter was a really good sign going into next week."
Kenny said he made a couple of positional changes ahead of the win, including moving Billy Alves out of the goalsquare.
"Bill's been playing a bit deep lately, so I wanted to bring him up to a wing to get him a little more involved int he action," Kenny said. "As we saw today, he's a beautiful set of mitts who can easily kick goals from 50-metres out, so we gave him a bit more freedom to run up the ground."
Kenny said his side is a work in progress, but can see a powerful team when it gels.
"We were a little scrappy today, and it'll take some time for us to gel as a new side, but we get three or four guys back next week who will make us stronger," he said. "I think we're pretty close to full strength next week bar Dylan Art (dislocated shoulder), but with the guys coming back into the side, we'll give ANU a fair crack.
"We're still a work in progress, so we just need people to stick by us. The ressies are playing some really good footy at the moment, and we've got a lot of young guys, so the wins will keep coming."
