Taking out first place in the 2019 event on Saturday, May 4 was last year's runner-up Sue McIntyre of Broadwater Oysters, Pambula Lake.
Her time of 3.17 seconds was a knife-blade faster than last year's queen, Sally McLean of Jim Wild's Oysters, Greenwell Point, Shoalhaven.
Third was Jade Norris, of the Oyster Shed on Wray St, Batemans Bay.
John Yiannaros reclaimed family pride, after being disqualified last year, returning to win the male title over friend and protegee, Gerard "Doody" Dennis.
Dennis broke the Yiannaros stranglehold on the title in 2018, with Jimmy Yiannaros runner-up.
Jim did not contest this year's event, but his twin brother came back from a close second in the heat to win the final and reclaim the crown for the Clyde River oyster family.
Third for the second year running in a closely fought contest was Greg Carton of Broadwater Oysters at Pambula Lake.
Other female contestants were Pip Boyton, Vlasia Yiannaros, Sally Wild's mum Robyn Wild and Angela Riepsamen.
Videos and pictures from the women's event and more stories to come.
