First impressions linger and my first impression of the driveway sloping gently down to the gorgeous house at 21 BlueWren Place, Bodalla was ... so posh!
This is a property to be proud of. The house and the landscaped five acres are impeccably presented.
Forget Mrs Bucket's saying about room for a pool and a pony, this place has room for an Olympic pool and a draught horse!
I loved the bright, light and cheery atmosphere inside, the covered patio and, as winter is coming, the wood fire in the open family, kitchen and dining area.
If you fancy yourself a Pitt St farmer, everything is set up for a lifestyle of pleasure. Water is the least of your problems, as the property is fed by an underground spring.
Has Monet moved to Bodalla? The pond, complete with fountain and red-painted decking area, is reminiscent of Giverney and a special place to recuperate or just enjoy the vista of distant dairy flats.
As I wandered, musing about where I would lay my rug for a picnic (or some topless sunbaking), I was reminded of the classic Aussie movie The Castle: "How's the serenity?"
This is a castle for him and her.

Birds are at home in the many fruit trees and vegetation and the fruits of the owners' labours are on display.
If you are a toy boy ... meaning you have plenty of toys, such as vintage cars and motor bikes, the sheds would be perfect for your precious items as they presently house three cars with room for more. Girls, this means your toy boy would disappear for hours, leaving you in peace!
The village of Bodalla is five minutes away and is coming into its own as a stop-off for travellers on the Princes Highway. The Bodalla Bakery and the Cheese Factory milk bar are just two attractions.
The sleepy village full of history is now wide awake and real estate is on the move.
This home is in Bodalla Park Estate, on the south side of the village and 10 minutes from beautiful Potato Point Beach, with streets named after the farms which belonged to The Bodalla Farm Estate, created by Thomas Sutcliffe Mort.
Mort, the first man to send frozen meat overseas and for which Mort's Dock is Sydney is named, also had iconic All Saints Bodalla Church built for his workers.
I also visited the open house at 54 Kookaburra Dr, another property right next to the state forest, of equal beauty and also set up for the Pitt St farmer with everything ready to go ... just walk in and start to enjoy a lifestyle you deserve!
