There were approximately 150 people in attendance for the annual march from the Mechanics Institute Hall to the Cenotaph.
The service marked 68 years of Anzac Day remembrance in Nelligen, as the first service was held in 1951.
Reverend Ken Foster noted in his speech that the residents originally thought the service would last for "five, maybe 10 years".
Rev. Foster was the master of ceremonies for the service, and spoke about the Blanch family in his speech.
Paul Blanch comes from a military family, and served during the Vietnam War. Rev. Foster spoke about how soldiers were treated by war protesters during the Vietnam War, and their feeling of unwelcome and sadness during that time.
He also spoke about the impact of war, not only on veterans, but the families of veterans.
David Rodley also spoke during the service. Mr Rodley, whose mother was from Nelligen, spoke about his experiences as a serviceman during the 1990s and 2000s.
Sadly, 2019 marked the first annual service without Nelligen stalwart Norm Miles, who passed away last year at the age of 98.
