The four-year-old gelding, trained by Joe Cleary and ridden by Nick Heywood, edged Pierino and Millijule for the win, with Tipta Tantivy also within a length of the winner.

Pierino and Millijule ended in a dead-heat for second place, while Tipta Tantivy was a nose behind for fourth place.

The Cup win is Bart's second win at the Moruya Jockey Club, as he also won a race in 2017.

The race meeting was a special one for the club, as the day was run in support of the Batemans Bay Mother's Day Classic.

There were smatterings of pink throughout the crowd, and a special "pink" edition of the ever-popular Fashions on the Fields.

Moruya-based trainers took out three of the six races on Saturday, with Lynda Bundy winning both races three and four, and Natalie Jarvis winning race six.

Jarvis also had two second-placed horses to extend her lead at the top of the Moruya Jockey Club's trainers premiership.

Bundy's first winning horse, Sunday Hustler, took out the Edie Novak Riding for the Disabled Class 1 Handicap, beating Sanctuary Cove by a length and a half.

Theatre Tickets won the Elders Batemans Bay Pink Day Maiden Handicap by half a length to give Bundy two wins on the trot.

Jarvis had to wait for the Elders Mother's Day Classic Handicap for her win, as Malachi Crunch beat Bitofastar by half a length.
