There is a huge range of events on offer, from workshops and pop-up shows to major performances in the festival's Sound Shell at Barragga Bay. A highlight will be the free community concert at Dickinson Oval, Bermagui from 5pm on April 19. The festival program encompasses world music, jazz and classical music. Musicians from Australia and overseas will be performing in small ensembles as well as coming together to form an orchestra as part of Sunday's 'Beethoven in the Bush' gala performance. There are buses to Four Winds from Batemans Bay and Moruya in the north and Pambula, Merimbula and Bega in the south. For more information visit the Four Winds website.
Tilbury Classic Ocean Swim
Nowra, April 20
The annual Tilbury Classic Ocean Swim is a thrilling and beautiful community ocean swim event of 1.9 kilometres across the unspoilt and stunning headlands of Culburra Beach on the NSW South Coast. Everyone is welcome to join in on Easter Saturday from 8.15am-1pm. The amazing views, crystal waters and beautiful weather make this ocean swim a real community event attracting swimmers from near and far. The swim is supported by the incredible volunteers and crew from the Nowra - Culburra Beach Surf Life Saving Club who use all funds raised for the little Nippers Program. It's an event not to be missed for all participants, spectators and locals looking for a great day out.
Giant Easter egg hunt
Jamberoo Action Park, April 21
Join the Easter Bunny and Sammy the Shark at Jamberoo on Easter Sunday to hunt for 1000's of Easter eggs hidden throughout the picnic grounds. For ages 4-12, the whole family can join in with Sammy and the Easter Bunny for a day of festive fun. Gates open at 9.30am.
The Far Easter Surf Festival
Mallacoota, April 18 - 21
The Far Easter is an annual event run by the Mallacoota Boardriders Club. It focuses on the art, people and culture of surfing on the Wilderness Coast and surrounding areas. This year's four day event includes a 1960s karaoke night, street art exhibition, live music, barbeque, Easter egg hunt and a 1960s retro board team surf competition which is open to any boardriders - entries close on Wednesday. The Tilba Easter Festival
Central Tilba, April 20
The main street of Central Tilba is given over to street performers, hilarious street games, a great variety of market stalls, delicious food and more. Two halls in the middle of town will be full of demonstrations, performers and shows. Behind the halls is a dedicated kids zone run by the Tilba School P C. All day entertainment spread over three stages offer a huge variety of music from jazz to folk, world music and the blues. To visit the website, click here.
