"It is with sadness that the theatre community informs you of the passing of Bay Theatre Players' life member, Gwen Wray," a spokesperson for the theatre said.

"Gwen was known over many years for her musical accompaniment of multiple productions and for many years provided leadership to the Bay Theatre Singers group.

"Despite failing health, Gwen came out of retirement to once again perform at our 40th Anniversary Concert.

"Gwen's funeral will be held at 11:00am Thursday 18 April at the Broulee Memorial Gardens Chapel.

"It would be most appreciated if members representing Gwen's contacts over the years of her involvement with the theatre could attend.

"Our thoughts are particularly with (daughter) Sue at this time."

Mrs Wray brought joy to many with her music.

She died on April 15, 2019.
