Moruya product Shayne Hargraves, 15, won a silver medal in the 3000 metres at the Australian Athletics Championships in Sydney last weekend.
Hargraves had also qualified for the 1500 metres, but didn't enter the event as the final was on the night before the 3000 metres, meaning there wasn't enough time for recovery.
The result caps off a fantastic track season for Hargraves, who is a member of the Limitless Track Team coached by Andae Kalemusic.
Hargraves competed at the Australian All Schools Championships in Cairns last December, and won bronze in both the 1500 metres and 3000 metres at the NSW State Championships in February.
