The best of Group 16 will face the Indigenous All Stars team on Saturday, March 23, from 4.30pm as a precursor to the season proper, which kicks off on April 6.
Six Merimbula-Pambula Bulldogs have made the cut in the 18-man squad, with four Bega Roosters, three Bombala Blue Heelers, two from Batemans Bay and one each from Narooma, Tathra and Cooma.
The All Stars will be coached by Bombala's Joe Bobbin, who has Brent Pike from the Bay Tigers as his assistant.
The squad has been asked to attend training at the Bega Rec Ground Wednesday, March 20, 6.30pm.
In last year's Group 16 v Indigenous All Stars exhibition showdown, the Group 16 squad dominated with a 30-6 win in a downpour.
More than 1000 turned out despite on and off rain all day at Mackay Park.
Group 16 chairman Allan Wilton said at the time it just proved the level of support for the initiative.
"The Indigenous v All Stars fixture has been a very positive thing for Group 16 and the turnout shows how well supported it is," he said at the time.
