According to a statement from the Cancer Council on March 19, Relay for Life, will not go ahead on Saturday, April 13 at Mackay Park, Bateman's Bay.
"After careful consideration, Cancer Council NSW has cancelled Eurobodalla Relay For Life and will be replacing the event in 2019 with a community trivia night," the statement said.
"The decision was made due to low registration numbers and fundraising.

"The decision to cancel Eurobodalla Relay For Life was not made lightly. In order to fill our commitment to help people affected by cancer, we need to ensure our events have a significant return on investment.
"Based on the registrations and funds raised so close to the event, Eurobodalla Relay For Life does not have enough community support for it to be profitable.
"We understand that Relay For Life is no longer fit as the best way for Eurobodalla residents to support Cancer Council and we want the community to have a fun, meaningful event experience.
"We will be hosting a community trivia night on 18 May at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club so that the local community can still support people affected by cancer.
"People who have registered for the event will be offered a ticket to the trivia night in place of their registration fee alternately participants have the option to have their registration fee refunded.
Caitlyn Zalewski Community Relations Coordinator at Cancer Council's Southern Regional office thanked supporters.
"We are thankful for the Eurobodalla community's support of Relay For Life over the last 11 years, raising almost $630,000 for Cancer Council's life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support programs.
"We will continue to provide information and support through local programs and 13 11 20 Information and Support, legal and financial assistance, transport to treatment, and accommodation."
Although the community will no longer have a local Relay For Life event, there won't be any changes to our level of support in the area. Cancer Council will continue to support everyone affected by cancer across the Eurobodalla.
"For more information on how to obtain your refund please contact the Cancer Council office on 4223 0200.
"The community trivia night will incorporate elements of Relay For Life including a candlelight slideshow to honour and remember our loved ones lost. There will be bands and entertainment, as well as games and trivia for the whole family to enjoy.
"Teams are encouraged to continue to fundraise in the lead up to the community trivia night with all funds going towards Cancer Council's local programs and services such as 13 11 20 Information and Support, legal and financial assistance, transport to treatment and accommodation.
