The event on Saturday, February 23, was the Club’s Anniversary Pairs which celebrates the opening of the club’s clubhouse on February 23, 2003, 17 years after the establishment of the club in 1986.
Then Vice-President Ray Turner was responsible for managing the overall project. Twenty pairs participated in this year’s event with the winning pair taking the Ray Turner Shield.
The Anniversary Pairs was also one of the club’s charity days. Members raised $304 in donations for Sailability Batemans Bay.
Batemans Bay Bridge Club has an extensive teaching and development program includes lessons for beginners, improvers and intermediate players as well as supervised play and practice sessions for less experienced players. For more information, contact Ron Maxwell on 0416 109 855.
