The branch took a team to Forster in December for the NSW Interbranch Championships. All events at the carnival a straight finals, and the team did very well competing against the best lifesavers in the state.
Moruya's Sophie Bolton finished second in the under 12s beach flags, Narooma's Elli Beecham finished second in the under 15s beach flags, and Batemans Bay's Geordie Kemp finished third in the under 17s beach flags.
Beecham also won the beach flags event at the recent NSW Country Championships for the second year in a row.
In January, the branch competed in the Best of the Best Surfboat competition in Queenscliff. There was a crew from Narooma, a crew from Broulee, and some draftee crews from North Cronulla, Bilgola, and Mona Vale.
The Broulee crew finished second overall in the reserve women's division, and the team came sixth overall in the state.
Over Australia Day, the branch ran its first ever Youth carnival in Pambula, with competitors coming from Moruya, Broulee, Narooma.
The event was a 'colour carnival', meaning that rather than competing for their clubs, athletes were split into teams on the day.
