“The Executive of the Batemans Bay Branch of the Liberal Party was interested to meet the Liberal Candidate for the Federal Seat of Gilmore Warren Mundine on Sunday, February 10,” Mr Haslem said.
“The federal president of the Liberal Party Nick Greiner invited Members of the Liberal Party to meet Warren Mundine at the Mollymook Golf Club on Sunday and four members of the Batemans Bay branch made the trip.”
Mr Haslem was the Federal MP for Canberra in the Fraser Government.
He said there was a need for unity within the Gilmore branch of the party and he expressed his strong support for Warren Mundine as “an outstanding candidate with broad experience and mature judgement”.
He said his fellow Liberals from Batemans Bay supported these sentiments.
Former endorsed candidate Grant Schultz is running as an independent.
