The walk followed a flat path from One Tree Point to Coila Lake past Tarandore Point. It was then a return, to enjoy lunch together. The group paused at the War Memorial to appreciate it and the view.
The group’s February 13 walk is from Jack Buckly Park, Tomakin to Melville Point Lookout and return. Turn off George Bass Drive at the Tomakin turn off; take the first right turn into Sunpatch Parade, and drive about 500 metres to Jack Buckley Park on the right.
The walk will be on the reserve and beach to Melville Point Lookout, and return via Sunpatch Parade for lunch.
The February 20 walk is at Batemans Bay, from Surfside Park to the marina. Meet at Surfside Park at the northern end of the Clyde River bridge. Head north on the Princes Highway and cross the Clyde River bridge at Batemans Bay. Continue a short distance to the roundabout and go right around the roundabout, heading back to the Bay. Just before the bridge, turn left into Wharf Road and then right to the park. The walk will be over the bridge onto the promenade, following this to the marina and then returning for a well-deserved lunch and chat.
All walks begin at 11am sharp and last one to one-and-a-half hours, or less, depending on ability. Afterwards enjoy a BYO picnic lunch together. Bring a chair/seat to be comfortable, good walking shoes, protection from the weather and a drink.
