In Rally Advanced, Hilary Coulton with Monty achieved 2 passes scoring 98/100 and 88/100, placing first and third; Karen Gould and Harmon scored 91/100 and second place; and Lyn Watcham and Riley scored 92/100 and second place and their Title at this level.
In Rally Excellent, Helen Rand and Holly scored 82/100 and came fourth. They require one more pass for their title at this level.
In Rally Masters, Lyn Watcham and Issy achieved two more passes, scoring 96/100 and 95/100 and third place. This has resulted in Lyn and Issy gaining their final requirements for their Rally O Obedience Champion title. This is the second title at this level that Lyn has achieved with her dogs during the past 9 months, a truly wonderful achievement, as it is the highest level of title that you can attain in Rally O and necessitates many hours of training and dedication. Congratulations on this superb accomplishment.
Eurobodalla Canine Club is looking forward to the start of Term 1, on February 6. New puppy, older dog, rescue, pedigreed or mixed breed, it is never too late to turn your canine companion into that ideal pet. New members will be made most welcome when they enrol in our classes to learn the basics of dog obedience through to competition level trialling. We are a not-for-profit social community organisation whose primary aim is to promote responsible dog ownership in the Eurobodalla and surrounding area.
We assist the handler in teaching the basics of dog obedience using Positive Motivational Methods, with rewards such as food and lots of praise to encourage the dog to repeat desired behaviours, rather than forceful negative methods. At our beginners introductory night for all members of the family (no dogs), we will discuss our training curriculum, show handlers different types of equipment they may wish to use and attend a team demonstration display put on by some of our Club Members.
Dogs must be fully vaccinated, over the age of four months, with relevant paperwork provided to the club when you enrol. Enquiries can be made by calling Magda on 44711440 or Hilary on 0409 492556. Our email contact is eurodogclub@outlook.com or message us on our facebook page: - Eurobodalla canine club. Further information and registration forms can be downloaded from our web page:-eurocanine.webs.com.
Several members from our club are competing over the next two weeks at competitions being held at Bermagui Sports Oval. On the 9th to 11th and 15th to 17th of February there will be conformation shows and obedience trials and on the 13th and 14th there are Rally O obedience trials. Some of our newer Instructors will be trying their hand at competition for the very first time and we wish everyone and their canine mates the best for these and future competitions.
