That comes as the formal "opt-out" period for the My Health Record system ends on Thursday, January 31.
Anyone who chooses not to opt-out before the deadline can delete their record at any time, or choose not to have specific information recorded.
Moruya GP Tim Shepherd said he will opt-in to the system.
“I think it’s a great idea,” he said.
“Some people don’t want to have information like sexual preference on it – no big deal, you can opt that out.
“When a new patient comes in with a history as long as your arm … to go ‘click’ and there it is, people can be mobile and their doctor can still access their information.
“I will opt in.”
